Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year
It’s that time of year when I travel all around the UK visiting family and remembering what it’s all about.
This year has been an interesting one for me on my DFIR journey and I feel I have learned a great deal, although still I realise I have only just scratched the surface.
I have dipped my foot into a few areas which have excited and interested me:
- Python scripting
- EnScripting
- Setting up my forensic lab/network
- EnCE certification
- GIAC certifications
Certifications are great for personal satisfaction and validation but personally it’s the learning and research side of the last year I have really enjoyed, looking forward to more of the same in the coming year.
I have said it before and will say it again a big thanks to my good friend Kev who has helped me at so many points in the last year and kept me on track. There are so many others in DFIRLand that have helped me but to name just a few:
- James Habben – EnScript Guru
- Chad Tilbury – DFIR Guru
- David Cowen – Forensic Lunch Guru
- Corey Harrell – Forensic Blog Guru
- Plus many other blogs and podcasts
I hope to put together a list of blogs, readings and podcasts in the new year which I have found useful during the past year.
Anyway I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish all of you a very happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year from my family to yours and look forward to the challenges ahead!
